Why Crowdfunding?
Utilizing the opportunity that crowdfunding provides, connecting us directly with the community both locally and further allows us to build ourselves from the ground up with your direct help and input!
Starting a game store from scratch is no easy feat. We’ve been working tirelessly to secure a location, build inventory, and create a space that fosters a sense of community. However, to make this dream a reality, we need your support to cover the initial startup costs, including:
- Rent and Utilities: Finding the perfect location in our small town was challenging but essential. Your contributions will help us secure our store location and keep the lights on.
- Inventory: We want to offer a wide selection of games, from classics to the latest releases. Your donations will help us stock our shelves with a diverse range of games to cater to all tastes.
- Gaming Equipment: To ensure an enjoyable gaming experience, we need tables, chairs, gaming accessories, and comfortable seating for our customers.
- Events and Tournaments: We plan to host gaming nights, tournaments, and events to bring our community closer. Your support will help us organize and run these activities.
The Campaign's Purpose
In order to get things rolling, we plan to use this campaign to help get this business launched.
With your help, we’ll be able to open our doors ready to provide a space for the community to join up and have fun without having to worry about cost prohibitive details.
We hope to be able to officially open our doors with enough overhead to be able to jump right into community events and content creation.
Why Donate?
We don’t want to simply ask for charity in this endeavor. The plan for this campaign is to offer something in return for anyone who donates.
First and foremost, anyone who donates will receive a handwritten thank you from our Lords & Ladies. We will also be creating a “founding document” of sorts to commemorate everyone who joins the campaign, that would be viewable both online and in store.
We will be offering various goods/services in return for your generosity. If you’d simply like to be a part of the campaign with nothing in return then you’ll have our deepest gratitude, but please feel free to take a look at all the loot we will have to offer as well.

Future Expansions?
The ultimate goal of Castle in The Sky is to bring the joys and fun of gaming to the rural communities of West Texas. Once we have achieved this goal, we hope to then begin creating games of our very own!
A few ideas we are kicking around for the future:
- A tavern experience (more food and drink options)
- Large scale events (bringing special guests and more)
- An in-house game studio (making our own board and video games!)
- An E-Sports team
- LAN Parties, tournaments, movie nights, and more!
